What are the Conditions for Self-Defense?<\/p>\n
In order for an act to be considered within the scope of self-defense, the following conditions must be met:<\/p>\n

\nThe Attack Must Be Ongoing or Pose an Imminent Danger: If the attack has occurred and is over, self-defense cannot be considered.

If these conditions are met, the person is deemed to have acted within the scope of self-defense and will not be punished.<\/p>\n
Can a Prison Sentence be Given as a Result of Self-Defense?
\nIf the Conditions for Self-Defense are Met: If the above conditions are met, the person will not be held responsible for the tort and will not be punished. In this case, he\/she will not go to prison.
\nIf Disproportionate Force Was Used: If the person used disproportionate force against the attack or continued to harm the other party despite the attack ending, he\/she may be sentenced to prison.
